KING AIR 200GTO

In 2007 Hawker Beechcraft announced production of the new King Air B200GT which offered the speed and climb rates of a new King Air 350 without the required type rating. This was accomplished by installing the new Pratt & Whitney PT6A-52 engines. The new engines combined the turbine section of the 1050shp PT6A-60A installed on the King Air 350 with the gearbox of the PT6A-42 engine from the King Air B200, allowing the engines to retain their 850shp rating. Depending on air temperature, the PT6A-42 engine of the King Air B200 can deliver maximum cruise power (around 285 kts) up to altitudes in the high teens. However, the new PT6A-52 engines can deliver maximum cruise performance (310+ kts) into the high 20s with significant climb improvement.

In 2008 an STC approval for the installation of the same PT6A-52 engines on the King Air 200 was approved. Labelled the Beechcraft Super King Air 200GTO. the aircraft boasts maximum cruise speeds of around 310+ kts with normal cruise speed of around 300 kts. The engines have a factory recommended overhaul interval (TBO) of 3600 hours.

Additional benefits:
King Air 200GTOs are typically lighter compared to the King Air B200GT, which translates to a lower empty weight and higher useful load. On average the greater useful load offers the ability to carry as much as a few hundred more pounds of fuel(offering greater range), baggage or passengers vs. the new King Air B200GT.Newer engines translate to lower operating costs. More powerful engines offer shorter take off distances, increased single engine climb and service ceiling.

PRESTIGE AVIATION is offering an exceptional King Air 200GTO for sale. The aircraft has brand new engines, propellers, interior and exterior as well as excellent cockpit eqipment including EFIS and TCAS II. WT9 Dynamic

The WT9 Dynamic is two-seat light airplane. Thanks to progressive construction design, and using advanced materials such as sandwich shells and carbon composites, it has low weight. Dynamic is a first light sport airplane, that passed complete aeroelastic investigation.

The fuselage of the aircraft consists of composites sandwich shells where the main construction element is carbon fiber. This ensures the low weight together with high strength and toughness. The main part of the fuselage is 2.45 m (8 ft) wide center section with fuel tanks of total capacity of 75 liters (19.8 US Gal) in the outer part of the stub wings on the center section. Fuselage is connected to the tail parts of classic arrangement. The stabilizer span is the same as center section width, which enables the transport of the demounted plane on a trailer or in the truck.

Main landing gear consists of laminated spring gear and steering nose gear attached to firewall by bungee cord shock absorber mechanism. Hydraulic retractable gear is an option. In both versions the main gear wheels are equipped with hydraulic disc brakes. They are actuated by lever on center console, which also serves as a parking brake.

Controls Are standard - control sticks on both sides, in basic version with no adjustable rudder pedals. The flaps and trim control is mechanical with control levers on the center console.

Power plant The basic power plant is Rotax 912 UL with 100 HP with adjustable propeller SR 200 from Woodcomp company. The engine is equipped with two carburetors, electrical starter, double ignition, stainless steal exhaust, and muffler.

Cabin The canopy frame is made out of carbon composite, which ensures high strength and stiffness. The ergonomic design supports the crew comfort. The inner cabin width is 115 cm (45 inch) which is the most spacious of light sport aircraft category. The acrylic glass canopy made by Swiss company Mecaplex supplies an exceptional visibility.

Instruments The basic instrument set consists of air speed indicator, altimeter, magnetic compass, RPM indicator, oil pressure indicator, oil temperature indicator, and cylinder head temperature indicator.

PRESTIGE AVIATION is marketing a WT9 Dynamic at R 700 000.00 excl. VAT. Please see our website on www.prestigeaviation.co.za for more details
